Jennifer's 60th Birthday in Cambria
On Sunday, September 13, 2009, Ollie and I drove my new Honda Civic to Cambria to celebrate my 60th birthday. Ollie rented the most spectacular beach house overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
We will be staying in my favorite place on the face of the earth for five nights and six days. Our little doggies are both with us. We've brought out computers, books, lots of good food to enjoy for breakfast, lunch and dinner, a selection of delicious wines, and an entire sack of old movies. Tonight, I baked an angel food cake for my birthday. Ollie has ordered a pizza from J.J.'s for tonight's dinner. We've already basked on the rear deck, enjoying the sun and taken the babies for a long walk to Lampton Cliffs. Here are links to the photos I take each day of our adventures.
Here is Ollie on the living room deck, enjoying a glass of wine and the surf. I am in the chaise lounge beside him. We watch pelicans swooping low over the water, sea otters smashed by the incoming waves. We are certainly in paradise. This is the best birthday ever! The links below show our adventures.
